This time we're joined by Dara Quinn of Emerald Spark Events and so many other local ventures.
But today we're talking about your guys's venture this Summer with Thunder on the Island, taking over the concerts down at Clover Island in Kennewick.
Hows it been going, Dara?
- It's going amazing.
It's such a beautiful venue.
I didn't realize until we started doing shows there how great it is to just be on the river during these shows.
And you know, what's the backdrop behind the stage with the sunsets on the river.
It's amazing.
And we have a killer lineup and really fabulous music out there.
So it's been it's been going good.
- And the sound quality, it's an open air space and the sound quality is perfect.
- Weve got professional sound crews on there and the amazing, portable stage, provided by the Port of Kennewick.
It's a very expensive, large, portable stage that is like, high quality too.
- Well worth the money spent.
So there's a couple shows every week.
There's a free one on Wednesday and then ticketed shows on Sundays.
And another cool thing that you guys doing are doing Dara is partnering up with nonprofits.
You had NWPB down there.
That was really nice.
So, why this partnership with nonprofits?
- My business partner and I, Alicia, we both have this commonality that we love supporting the community.
And that's the number one reason.
You know, number two, there is, you know, to serve alcohol in an outside venue you do have to have a connection with a 501C3.
But we thought this is a great opportunity to get to know all the local charities.
And, and we have a different one that assigned to each show, giving some of their staff and volunteers a free table at the show, having them come have a booth, advertise what their business is about and how they serve the community.
And so it kind of hits a double whammy on there.
And, you know, really gets us involved with the community more.
We have 25 shows, we have 25 local nonprofits we're working with.
- Truly incredible.
Well, thank you so much for the opportunity.
And it's a great opportunity for community to come together.
So thank you.
- Thank you.
